Adopt-a-Chaplain News

January 15th the Laura Frances Snow packed and shipped 19 boxes. Included in this shipment were an MP3 player with portable speakers, a Bar-be-Que tool set, 16 oz coffee cups, fixings for smores, and a Coffee Maker. We want to thank you for your continued support.

We also shipped two boxes to Adam Kordish in Afghanistan, one box to James Corbin, and one box to James Gilliam. Some quotes from chaplains: "Thank you very much for your ministry. It is a great blessing during deployment to know that there are congregations and individuals that have us in prayer and are willing to do what they can to help." Ch. T.H. "Please know that your support is greatly appreciated. Your efforts have made my stay here much easier." Ch. M.K.

If you know of any of our members who are serving in the Armed Forces, and would like to receive a box, please contact a LFS circle member. This is one way we can provide moral, physical, and spiritual support for our members who are serving our Country.

Items needed: small can/bowls of food items (pull tops only), hot chocolate mixes, smores fixings (graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate bars), small size toiletries items, note paper, toilet paper, handi-wipes, “wind-up” flashlight, Small size Bibles and New Testaments, etc.

We will be packing on Tuesday, February 12th and you can bring your items to the Church office. We can also use contributions to help with the shipping cost. Each box costs $8.95, and God has blessed us with having enough to ship each month.
